on Eielson

believe it or not I saw my first wolf today when I was headed to lunch on Eielson, I'd say it weighed about 85lbs and had a white/grey coat, a little big for a coyote, and it was no dog. It looked just like the ones you see in books when you live in the lower 48. :shock:

lots of dead ones coming from just north of the parking area and lots of tracks but no live ones, there were about 25 of them on a hillside north of the parking lot at sunrise but by the time we got there they were on the move and the 1981 ski-doo everst was having problems so we had to turn back. I own that sled now, the crankcase seals were both blown out, it ran but extremely lean. runs pretty good now, still a little tweaking needed but it'll go 60mph. :wink:
