Steve,
We do keep a roster of members but do not issue cards. Just come to the meeting, or show up at the rides, and introduce yourself.
Welcome to the club.

Re: Tanana Flats, 11 January
It is -24 already and not forecast to get above that tomorrow. Rather than waiting until 0900 tomorrow, I am canceling tomorrow's ride and will reschedule it for 25 January.

Tanana Flats, 11 January
This ride will depart from the boat landing/day park at the end of Chena Pump Road at 10:00 AM and should be back before 3:00 PM. It will be a nice, easy ride of about 50 miles ideal for families and beginning riders. We will ride down the Tanana River for a few miles and then go into the Tanana Fla...

Dec 28th ride
I am still waiting for a fuel pump so I have not been able to get out at all to check the trails in the Flats. I am moving that ride to 11 January. Sorry about that. If anybody wants to lead a ride on 28 December, it is now open.

Re: Update on Ester trail closures
Here is the latest on the Ester trail closures: Hi Folks, As you are aware, I have been working on two important trail access issues in the Ester area: 1) the blockage of the Ester Creek Rd, preventing access to public lands further west in Ester Valley and the Social Security Mine Trail, Fireplug T...

Re: Hi everyone, total noob here
Snow travelers is a good place for a newbee to start. Weather permitting, we ride every Saturday. Most of our rides are not too big, usually less than a dozen riders, but most of those riders will know where to go and how to help you when you get stuck. Hope to see you this winter.

Re: 2013-'14 Rides
wesj, I don't recognize that tag. What is your name? All the Saturdays in January are still open. The rest of the Calendar is full. If you are willing to lead a ride, we need the following: Date, level of difficulty (Family, Intermediate or Expert), destination, start time, your name and where the r...

Re: Upgrading my skis
My first machine had very narrow skis. It would roll over any time a ski got close to the edge of a trail. I put skins on and they fixed the problem. As heavy as your machines are, I would recommend 10" skis even if most of your riding is on trails.

Re: 2013-'14 Rides
I can't post it until John gets back from moose hunting. I don't know when that will be.
In the meantime, there are only eight rides in it so far. I would like to have few more before we post it. Can I put you down for leading one?

Re: 2013-'14 Rides
Don't be shy. We have lots of openings for anyone who is willing to lead a ride. We have open dates on 7 and 21 December; 4, 11, 18 and 25 January; 1 February; and 15 and 29 March. We need ride leaders!

Re: 2013-'14 Rides
Thanks. We can do both of those if we get ride leaders.
Alpine Creek Lodge: Anyone out there who is willing to be the coordinator/ride leader for that?
Caribou Lakes: Are you volunteering to be the ride leader on that, John?

If anyone has any ideas for rides that they would like to see us add to what we did last year, now is the time to let me know. Please let me know too if there were rides that we did last year that you...
