Just another note on Alpine Creek Lodge, I was out there twice last winter and will be again Dec 29th-Jan 1st. Its a really comfortable and family friendy place. Claude, Jennifer, and their son Bob are great hosts! I made reservations a few day ago and they still had spots for new years weekend.

Its not too bad as long as you have warm gear. Rode at -20 a few times last year.

I rode out of Fairbanks today before work, ditch banged up the old steese from the farmers loop intersection. Is anyone going to try and ride this weekend if the temps somewhat cooperate? I"m off work Friday through Monday, but I am pretty booked up on Sat.

Just called Alpine Creek Lodge on mile 68 of the Denali Hwy and they have a foot on the ground out there.

Its nice to see the ground getting covered out there! I'm getting pretty pumped about the upcoming season and getting my sled ready. Hopefully it keeps piling up! Currently putting a graphics kit on my now so the girlfriend and I don't have matching sleds anymore!

But they left about a cord of seasoned wood there, and I've got up a couple loads since. Since we burn oil too, I should only need 4 or 5 more truck ...
