Dang, I can't make it this weekend! Argh! :wall:  I guess I'm toast for the season... :shaking: Oh well, maybe we'll be able to join you inthe summer for some of the ATV rides (crossed fingers) :atv: Have fun and be safe. Watch out for overflow areas. I understand that Brian is still limp...

John and Big John, you missed a good ride . It was short and sweet, no casualties this time! Enough snow on about 3/4 of the trail, we did see some grass on the wind-blown part of the ride (the connector tail between Moose Creek trail and the Wickersham trail. Lots of users, like Jeff menti...

That would be a qualified YES. I walked the trail at 28 mile for about 1/3 of a mile. The conditions were good, the snow not too slushy. Definitely enough for even a 1.5" track. Probably not enough for a mountain machine with 2 - 2 1/4" paddles. I'll be taking the FX (short track). The tra...

Well, Crystal just found out that she has a conflicting event on Saturday, so she is definitely not coming. And seeing how fast the snow is melting around here, it is looking grim. I might make a quick run to Mile 28 to scout it out tonight (no sled) just to get a feel for the conditions up there. I...

Since good riding conditions are iffy at best and there are reports of a LOT of overflow near Windy Gap, should we not change it to Mile 28 instead of Mile 57? That way we won't burn as much fuel getting there in case we have to turn right around. :dunno:

What say you?

Brian, Glad to hear that the ankle is not broken. Hopefully it will mend soon. It was a pleasure riding with you, you are a sledder and a gentleman. Feel free to tag along any time. As for the adventures, Crystal and I will have a full ride report with pictures in the next newsletter  Juan

John, Thanks. Now I know why it sounded familiar. The trail to Cache Creek was fairly decent, if a little (ok, a LOT) bumpy. But it was snowing while we were there and I heard some parts north of town got up to 12" of snow yesterday, so there might be hope for one last ride up in those trails. ...

Newbie along?

I have no objections, if you don't have a problem coming along with someone that has never been on that particular trail before :alien: (assuming John does not join us, of course)
The more the merrier. Let's meet at Chatanika Lodge for breakfast at say, 9:30 AM?

Hope to see you there.

Sorry John, I did not check the forum until late Sat. night. too late to call as requested. ( Will check again tomorrow morning. If I don't hear from you we might try going to 42 mile Steese to see if we find you. Will probably have breakfast at Chatanika on the way over. Hope to see you there...
