need help

#1 Post by TIMMER3153 »

Need some help. My buddy has a 05 polaris edge touring 800. The belt seems to be to tight. we can not even start it. we changed the belt and it started and the track turned, but when we stopped the sled died. i think it might be something wrong with the secondary clutch? I just don't know. trying to learn all i can, thanks

sounds like the primary clutch is out of adjustment . I would check to make sure that the primary clutch has released all the way. polaris clutches need a tune up around 3500 to 5000 miles. I have seen springs die as soon as 1500 miles. (600 xc sp )
check and see how far the clutch bolst is stiking out. that will be the clue.
hope that helps
