Mile 1408 Alaska Highway ride is scheduled this weekend July 26-28. To get there, drive past Delta Junction to the mile marker 1408. At that marker, turn right and follow the road around the "S" turn. Turn left at the end of the "S" turn and look for our camp site. I will try to post FST signs for you to follow.
This is an excellent site for kids, since you are far enough off the main road that they can play safely. At 10:30am on Saturday, I plan to depart the campsite for a long ride to the mountains and explore the back side of Ft. Greeley. A majority of the trails are not too difficult to ride and are fun to explore. Usually we will see moose and buffalo during this weekends ride.
