Tanana River to Monderosa Feb 15th, 2025

Upcoming scheduled ride to the Monderosa on February 15th. The river ice is good for the first 22 miles during the recon ride today, so the ride is ON for this weekend. We will depart from the Tanana River wayside at 10:00am. (Chena Pump Rd till Chena Ridge Rd starts uphill). This is a long ride ride on the Tanana River to Nenana, around 110 miles total. We will have lunch at the Monderosa and then get gas for those who need it, before returning to Fairbanks. Some folks have elected to drive down and meet our group. Our estimated time of arrival is 12:00pm. There is 2" of fresh snow along the established river trail, but there are deep pockets of snow very near for those that need to cool their machines. Caution: The boat launch road is not plowed all the way back to the main road. If you park there, do not travel too far down or you will have to do a lot of backing up.
