July Board Meeting

#1 Post by paulneva »

The July board meeting convened at 1845 on 24 July at Pikes. Peter Vredenburgh, Tim Berg, Paul Renschen, Larry Morris, Myles Thomas and Stoney Robertson were present.

Larry gave the Treasurers report: $2121.56 in checking, $1417.52 in savings and $1256.57 in the lifetime member account.

Peter said he recently learned that we can get a Winter Show non-profit rate booth for $350.00. Everyone agreed that at that price we should be there. Stoney will contact the winter show about dates and a booth.

Stoney will get the dates for the Trek Over the Top and get them into our calendar.

Larry will set up four-day ride to Alpine Creek Lodge, tentative dates 27-30 March.

Peter asked who is going to head up the Rondy this year? No one knew if Jody wanted to do it again. Might John want to take it over again?

Peter said he is overloaded and has to get thing off his plate.

Stoney is building the rides calendar. Tim offered to set up and lead a ride to Tolovana. Paul offered to lead two rides into the Tanana Flats.

Paul is to bring his old Chatanika Loop map to the next meeting.

The next board meeting will be at 1800 on 20 August at Pikes.

The meeting adjourned at 2000.

Paul S. Renschen, Secretary

Note: A few days after the meeting, Peter sent an e-mail to all board members resigning his post as president for family reasons.

Alpine creek lodge is set 27-30 March. The main rooms are all available as of now. I will get the rates confirmed this week. The suites are booked on the 27th already and the cabins are booked for the entire time.

Ok machiners. The rate for Alpine Creek Lodge for the 27th-30th in the main level lodge will be $67.50/person/night (normally $75). Includes meals. Reservations to be made by you at 907-743-0565. Tell them you are a snow-traveller for the discount. Those who went last time can tell you it was a great trip just not long enough. Now we have added 2 days.

More info on a seperate post later. Maybe a pre-trip gathering in Cantwell. Never know what I will come up with
