Opening
The General Meeting of the Fairbanks Snow Travelers was called to order at 7:06pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Northern Power Sports, Fairbanks, AK.
Board Members Present
Chris Wolter, Tim Lokker, Melinda Harris, Diane Cryer, Mike Canady, Rich Doering, Dan Cryer, Mike Doty
Topics of Discussion
1. Summer Rides
a. These are not official club rides so it’s a great opportunity to invite friends
b. May 10, End of Snow Machine Season Potluck, 6-9pm. Location TBD. The club will provide hamburgers and hotdogs. Watch for a sign-up sheet on FB.
c. May 23-26, Memorial Day weekend at Livengood
d. June 7-8 at Wickersham Dome
e. June 14-15 at Paxson
f. June 21-22 at Cleary Summit
g. July 3-6 at Valdez Creek
h. July 19-20 at Eagle Summit
i. Aug 2-3 at Nome Creek
j. Aug 16-17 at Mile 1408 AK Hwy
k. Aug 29-Sep 1, Labor Day weekend at Eureka Lodge
l. Sep 13-14 at Coal Mine Trail
m. If someone wants to lead/organize another ride, just announce it on FB and go for it
2. Recent Rides
a. Lake Louise was amazing with many miles of wide, groomed trails.
b. MaClaren was awesome with perfect weather and snow conditions.
c. Tolovana Roadhouse was very cool. Definitely a place we want to go back to.
d. Dunkle Mine had rough snow conditions and flat light so we came home early.
e. Caribou Lakes was the best ever. We discovered new areas to go to next year.
3. Next General Membership Meeting: Oct 15 location TBA.
