...Heavy Snow for Interior Alaska...

Snowfall Tuesday and Wednesday will bring up to 10 inches of snow
to the Central and Eastern Interior.

A strong storm moving north out of the Pacific will bring heavy
snow to the area starting late Monday night with snow continuing
into Wednesday before tapering off.

Around Fairbanks snowfall will be in the 2 to 5 inch range with
the heaviest snow in the Upper Chena River Basin.

Heavy snow will impact travel across the area with up to 5 inches
of snow along the Parks, Richardson, Dalton, Steese, and Elliott
Highways, and up to 10 inches of snow along the Taylor Highway.

Expect difficult travel from late Monday into Thursday before
conditions improve.

Looks like the forecast is changing for a lot less snow, although the winter weather warning is still up.

We went 4-wheeling this past week to Donnelly, Coal Mine Road and Mile 1408. Absolutely no snow down there. Got the rigs fairly muddy but didn't find anything real challenging. Put on 40 miles. We also went hiking in Denali Nat. Park the week before last. The road is open to Savage River and no snow there either.
