The newbies need more info!
I heard meet @ the closed Cache @ 10 mile CHS road?
The notes say "Memorial Ride for Don Hulshizer" , This name seams familiar to me... After googleing it I found this: http://www.akpub.com/akttt/hulsh01.html
Looks like a member of Pioneers of Alaska and Civil Air Patrol, could know the name from either
What kind of ride with this be? Anything special to bring? What does "to Chat" mean or stand for?
Thankyou in advance for the info!

It's the old "10 Mile Merchantile" store, now renamed with new owners. Not sure what the name is
Anyway, it's at 10 mile Chena Hot Springs Road (CHRS). There's a store there, the only one till you get to Valley Center at 28 mile CHSR.
The to "Chat" means Chatanika Lodge, food, drink and fun It's a good ride usually.
That info is about Don, he was a good man and enjoyable sledder among other things as you read. He also flew during WWII and you might a good story related related 3rd hand from John M. if he's in the talking mood.
