delta?
Hey you guys, new to Fairbanks. Just moved here in the Fall for school, and so far the weather sure has been up and down. Finally coughed up some dough and bought myself a trail sled for up here. One of my good friends is talking about trailering to delta and riding from there. Any idea of what I can expect when we get out there? This is my first time being in Fairbanks during the winter, and being the villager that I am, I neglected to get a drivers license, it only recently dawned on me that I should get one and am in the process of doing that now. Do I need one to ride the sled in town (out on farmers loop) Thanks!

Re: delta?
Welcome and to answer your questions,
No to drivers license, at least not as yet
Don't do much riding out of Delta myself, but if your gong that far, why not head to Paxson and go towards McLaren. Nice ride for a trail sled. Or even to Tok and take the Taylor Hwy (closed in winter) and head up towards Chicken, another nice ride for a trail sled..
So what sled did you get

working on a '09 dragon 800 sp. From what I have heard the Iq's ride pretty nicely. Sure not as fast as the ones I have up north, but hopefully I won't be getting towed anytime soon

Re: delta?
Well finally got the sled in from Carlile yesterday, took a quick ride out on the river, sure is different riding up here then it is up north! Dealer forgot to include my registration stickers, sled is registered but I am waiting for the stickers in the mail. The sales guy just said to keep a copy of the registration form, but I am not sure what good that would do. Oh well. Should be a fun ride tomorrow up the river then back towards the finish line to watch the iron dog guys come in! Probably going to take a friends sled, I'm not sure how strictly they enforce having reg. stickers on the sled.
