They are calling for snow all the way through Thursday. I am going to take a drive up that way on Thursday and check out the conditions. Still have 12 days before the 7th so lets be positive.

Chances are the wind will blow that out.... Eagle is a windy place.

Of course it might open up the old Circle/Fairbanks trail from 12 Mile Summit.

Hows the snow levels looking for Saturday's ride ?

I know last week the snow was good but not packed enough to ride yet, I believe you mentioned that your skags were dragging dirt do to the powder being so low and no packed base ?

It's not looking good up here on Cleary Summit. Its been blowing up here for a week with gusts over 50. Lots of bare spots. It probably won't be any better in Nome creek plus we only have maybe 3 or 4 inches at the most. I made one run down my driveway with my sled up here and came back and switched to my 4-wheeler. Here's a picture of Cleary Summit with our new laoding ramp on the Fairbanks Creek Road Trail head. The other picture is of the White Mountains N/E of here. We need snow bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BLM posted an update to trail conditions for the Whites. Not looking good. I sure see a ton of tracks around town; must be old trail sleds cause there's deff not enuf snow for a mountain sled.
White Mountains Trail Conditions Update

Last updated Wednesday, November 4, 2009

General Remarks/Safety Alert

The White Mountains still lack enough snow for trail grooming, so winter travel conditions remain marginal. Approximately six more inches of additional snow are needed before BLM trail crews can pull their grooming equipment. Expect exposed ruts, roots, tussocks, and generally rough conditions.

Creek crossings are beginning to freeze over solidly, but trail users should exercise caution in these areas. Beaver Creek probably has not yet frozen sufficiently for safe crossing.
