>how far north
I checked the weather servcice update and it says
"THE SNOW NORTH OF FOX WILL FALL HEAVILY AT TIMES. THIS INCLUDES AREAS ALONG THE STEESE AND ELLIOT HIGHWAYS...STORM TOTALS OF 10 TO 16 INCHES."
IN THE IMMEDIATE FAIRBANKS AREA...ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 4 INCHES...THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS IN THE
HILLS AROUND TOWN. AREAS TO THE SOUTHEAST OF FAIRBANKS SUCH AS NORTH POLE AND EIELSON WILL LIKELY ONLY HAVE ABOUT AN INCH OF ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL.
So I assume areas like Chatanika, the White Mountains, pipeline, and so on should get a plenty of snow. I just had a chance to drive up to
Hilltop cafe (about 6miles north of Fox on Elliot) and it was snowing
pretty heavy out there with gusty winds. Hope the wind dowsn't blow too much though. Old Murphy Dome Road had about 8 inches of fresh snow already and it was still snowing heavily. Looks pretty promising to me. As I drove into town however, the intensity of snow got a lot weaker past say Chena Hot Springs Road. NK
