Ploaris trouble

I have a Ploars 440 indy and when I start to take off it bogs at about 3000 rpm and won't move. If you pick up the back it will take off :?:
I taught Industrial Arts Classes for 25 years and have a lot of experiance in designing and building THINGS. I like to work with and be around people. My wife and I love snowmachining and we will see you on the slope.

Swap to a new belt? Hours on clutch since it last over hauled?
