Hey John,

Glad you asked. I checked the BLM trails report and it does not sound good. They are reporting a rough trail from the trailhead to Beaver Creek and worse north of that. I think we should cancel. What do you think?

Its getting cloudy today, maybe some more snow (fingers crossed)

If not, I'd cancel. My last trip to the Whites was terrible with the lack of snow there.

I've been going past the Nome Creek parking lot off the Steese every weekend. The snow we got here in town last week only left 1/2 " at mile 57 steese, 12 mile/Eagle Summit.

John, Any chance of me picking up the groomer next week and keeping it until the 10th?

As much as I really do want to ride out to the Windy gap, the last time I rode to the cache mountain cabin the last 3 miles was the worst trail conditions I have ever been on. I ride a mountain sled and the only way you could get me to go through that is for it to drop 2ft of powder or for me to buy a short track ditch banger!

I'm down for maintenance this weekend though. I just got a new powerclaw track I'll be putting on Saturday night

Sorry, but it is not snowing and there is no snow in the forecast. Based on the BLM trail report and comments to date, this ride is canceled.

Just call when you want to come by. I will be home all weekend at this point, unless it snows :rolf:
