Chuck,

Are you still leading on the 22nd? Is it going to be the old Chatanika Loop? Is there enough snow?

Yes, the forecast looks good. I will try to make it an easy 50 to 60 mile ride from the Chatanika Lodge to up here in the Cleary Summit area and back to the lodge. Snow conditions up here are good. Margaret and I are going to go and check things out. Some of the trails up here have a lot of brush hanging low.

We'll meet at the Lodge for breakfast at 9. Hopefully we'll roll around 10.

I just talked to my neighbor who works at the Poker Flat Rocket Range next door to the Chatanika Lodge. She says it is currently 47 below there, Ronnie says it 40 at the Lodge. It's not looking good for the ride. I'll decide tomorrow.

Well, the forecast says it all, this ride is cancelled! Darn, I'm 0 for 2 this winter. I even went out and groomed yesterday.

Yea, tell me about it. It's 7 below up here right now. Anyone looking for a place to ride this weekend this would be a good place to do it. They can park in the state parking lot below our place on the Fairbanks Creek Road.

Bad advise on my part, temperature up here now is 20 below and dropping. Put another log on the fire.

We are about 300 feet above the Tanana Flats and it is 25 below at our house. Fairbanks is reporting 14 below. Odd weather, isn't it?
