Howdy,
Fairbanks Air Riders would like to team up with some sledders who know of some place that is possible to do some spring flying. We're hoping to get a lift up some mountain where there's a reasonable launch and landing. Unfortunately, we are not familiar with non-road accessible areas of the Alaska range.
Interested in such an expedition? We'll make short film too. Camping overnight is ok. We don't have sleds, but will pay expenses.
Site requirements:
2k vertical
at least 30 degree slope
Above treeline
Prefer extensive ridgeline for extended multi-hour soaring.
March or at least warm.
