I have all three Cabins penciled in for Jan 3-4 2015. The three cabins will hold 12 people and the max they allow is 18. 12 costs $660, ea additional is $20.00 more.

I will need to send them a check for $660 very soon after the General Membership meeting. The price ea for 12 would be $55 and for 18, 43.33 So I would like to get $40 to hold a place to sleep.

Here is there cancelation Policy:

If you cancel your reservation there is a $25 minimum fee.
Full refund (minus $25 fee) if you notify THS LTD at least 14 days before first night reserved.
50% refund if you notify THS LTD at least 10 days before first night reserved.
0% refund if you notify THS LTD less than 10 days before first night reserved.

NOTE: Confirming a reservation at Tolovana Hot Springs has a minimum cost of $25.

Extreme Cold/Severe Weather Policy

THS LTD cannot solely bear the cost of extreme cold/weather, but rather seeks to share the cost with the user. If your reservation should fall on days of extreme cold/weather, as defined below, THS LTD will credit you one half of any unused reservation to be applied towards a future reservation, for a period of up to one (1) year.
Warning: Travellers should be prepared for extreme cold/weather on any trip to Tolovana. This policy will not be applied to bad weather except as defined below.

Extreme cold/weather definitions

Extreme cold: -20 degrees F or colder at the Fairbanks International Airport (National Weather Service – phone 907-452-3553) at 8 AM the day of your reservation. (-30 degrees F during the period 15 February to 30 April).

Extreme Weather: If the Alaska State Troopers have issued a travel advisory for the Fairbanks, Livengood, or Minto areas and/or the Elliot highway is closed.

I read that as you ain't getting your money back if we get chilled out. If you have to cancel try to get someone else to go.
Be prepared to sign up and payup at the meeting on the 15th.

Here is the latest scoop!

We are going for two nights. That is the only way to securely reserve the cabins. We will go in on Friday Jan 2 and come out on Sunday Jan 4. We can do some riding on the 3rd and explore the area or sit in the hot tubs all day; your choice. We will bring extra gas. They had qouted me for two nights all along.

The confussion was on my part not being smart enough to figure out their reservation rules.

If anyone cannot go let me know if you gave me money I will give it back.
I have already heard from 2 of the people that signed up and they are a go!

Or if anyone else wants to go, let me know.
:sledwave:

I plan on doing what we did last year breakfast at Sams and leave the Dome at about 10:00. This time we don't have to turn around when we get there :thumbleft:

Lisa and I have friends coming to the area so I did not want to commit to anything at the member meeting, but we want to do this trip. Total would be four of us, if there is still room. If that works, Tim, how can I get you some money?

I put the check in the mail today. So at the next general membership meeting we will do a head count and see how many we still have. You can go out on Friday or Saturday.

Larry is in charge of hot dogs!

These recent earthquakes look like they are near the hot springs. That would be interesting to get one while we are there.

Bring your Food ideas to the meeting this week and we will finalize the list of who is going. I'm offering to bring enough Moose bugger to feed everyone for one meal. :needsnow:
